This is the 4th in my product series of Guess What? Curriculum Vocabulary Games that you do not want to miss out on! This series is an instant hit in my language therapy sessions with upper elementary students (4th and 5th)! The children are quite competitive during this activity!

This is a therapeutic & educational game to help children learn 80 curriculum vocabulary terms. While playing this game over several sessions, they will practice 40 frequently used vocabulary words in speech language therapy or SLP lingo (e.g. categories, synonyms, antonyms, main idea). They will also practice 40 tier 2 words that are frequently used on exams or test prep vocabulary (e.g. analyze, classify)

Speech-language pathologists, educators, and parents can use this game with children. Watch them learn and grow!

In this game, you have semantic maps, word banks, and question prompts for SLP Lingo & Test Prep vocabulary. You also have a mystery word deck that you should laminate and then cut apart before use. This game is ideal for 2-6 players.

Place the semantic map page in the center of the table as a visual for all players. Give each player the word bank and question prompt pages. Each player needs to select a word from the mystery word deck. Then they should take turns asking questions using the prompt pages to guess the other players’ mystery words. When someone guesses their word, they need to pick another one from the deck. The player that guesses the most mystery words is the winner.

As children learn to define words independently, remove the question prompt pages. Watch them learn and grow in their Tier III or curriculum vocabulary. If you have any questions about this product, please email me at [email protected]
